Stories don’t exist on their own. They are made by human hands in the human mind. I believe the stories we tell matter because ideas have consequences. And because those ideas have consequences, the source matters.
And since the source matters so much, I want you to know where I draw the line. You, dear reader, deserve to know how the stories you read are made.
This page isn’t so much about technology. Instead, it’s about the source of thought; it’s about authorship.
Every sentence, paragraph, scene, and chapter published under my name is written by me.
AI may assist in discussion or critique (especially critique), but it has not, does not, and will not write the prose you read.
All artwork featured in my books is created by human artists. I'll proudly credit every commissioned artist and, with permission, showcase that work in my gallery.
Every book, article, and page published under the name of Nathan Rhys reflects my own judgment and craftsmanship. I choose what to write, what to revise, what to remove, and what to publish.
If something succeeds, I want it to be because I created something others enjoy. And if it falls short, the responsibility is mine. I don’t want to give either of those things over to a machine.
I use AI much like I use other professional tools: spitballing ideas, reviewing technical work, and comparing what I’m working on to the goals I’ve set for it.
And, like my other tools, it will never replace the act of creation. These tools exist to help me create a higher quality product rather than do the work for me.
